I never understood it until I saw it. Our apartment was built in the 1970's and the cherry blossoms surrounding it must almost be as old. They are huge. I find myself getting very excited to see them in full bloom. I really hope it will coincide with my birthday, because that would be pretty great. My birthday is on March 26, so here is hoping.
