Day 15
Day 15 was not to be. Once again the combination of rain and laziness cancelled a day of riding.
I was looking forward to doing some long distance errands in the city in the afternoon but it was just raining too much. I still don't have any rain gear either - not that I'm really looking for some anyway - and of course the bike is still fender-less. Weather for the next few days looks good so I'm looking forward to getting back on the road tomorrow.
Meanwhile, here are some photos from the passed times that had never seen the light of day. Hello world. Enjoy.

I still have this bike back in Spokane. Glad I kept it. I enjoyed it most as a single speed.
This is one of my favorite photos: John Speare is smiling and Jon Snyder is also in the frame down the road. Jon might have not been smiling but it was an awesome day in the forest. I remember pushing the bike quite a bit.........

Rail trail section near Curlew, WA.
Cruising late summer in the West Central hood.
Old bike sign near Swan Lake located in Eastern Washington. Awesome lake with a nice campground. Great place to hang out and ride your bike.
Also at Swan Lake. Early fall.

Day 14
We've been enjoying a few consecutive days of sunny warm weather. I snuck out for about an hour on the bike before lunch today. Hit the usual spot: Tama River, the batting center and giant cemetery. Ended up only taking a bunch of snap shots of the bike.
The gecko has been released. While with us, it enjoyed a hoard of scrumptous, fat crickets.

Day 13
Miyo joined Elissa on her jog. Very little jogging happened.
But I went for a ride anyway. And got lost again. All the pictures I took are from pre and post getting lost. This time I got really lost - like ready-to-freak-out-cuz-I- was-so-tired-but-so-far-away-from-home kind of lost. Once again I found the river and scurried on home. Was a frustrating afternoon but I'm glad I made it home in one piece. From now on I will be carrying a map.
I love watching baseball. These kids were good.
Veggie vending vasheen.
I followed these guys home. Was a lot of fun. Thanks.
Yes.

Day 12
Saturday Day 12 was another morning ride. I think I took off around 7am hoping to get some coffee somewhere but the first Tully's I stopped by wasn't even open yet. Late opening for a coffee shop. Reminded me of a coffee shop somewhere that opened at 9am on Saturdays..... Anyway, I did some more moezying and dilly dallying up and down the streets in my hood. Had another great morning. Cycling is good.

Day 11
I usually have Fridays off. The weather was looking good so I took off for a couple hours in the AM.
When I go on longer rides, I usually have a "Somewhere" in mind. Usually I don't reach the "Somewhere" because I find an interesting road that's going the wrong way.
I end up following the interesting road until I get lost, then scramble to find a familiar road. It's very exciting to get lost in a big city. It feels like you're in a maze, always trying to see what's around the next corner. 9 times out of 10 the familiar road ends up being the cycling road along Tama River.
That's pretty much what happened this morning. I got side tracked, lost and found my way home. It was a wonderful ride.

The side road that led me away from my destination. Twas worth it.
Peace.
